One of my favorite things to do when I read other people’s blogs is to read about the music other people are listening to. I thought I would share some of my favorites on playlist right now.
Love is Blindness version by Jack White I have written about my new-found interest in Jack White before and this song but it really is heavily played right now. It is just so edgy and different.
Mumford and Son both albums I have been accused of going country on this one which you both know I will never do. I simply LOVE that all their songs follow my favorite musical theme…. building up the melody. Listen to Blank Page or I Gave You All and you will completely understand my love for this band. I also love any band that can use a violin effectively.
Home By Phillip Phillips What an American Idol on this list. I admit I was reluctant to download that song for that reason but I really fell in love hard with this song.
Delicate by Damien Rice Who? Yup, this is one of those mystery ones and the ones I most like to find when I read other people’s blogs. I discovered this song watching an old episode of Lost from season one. This is a song at one of the end of the episodes. I love music that captures the mood of scene in a movie or show this was one of the few songs that Lost ever used and it was perfect.
Colorblind by Counting Crows I am a fan of the band even though as far as I know they have not done much except tour in a while. This is one of those haunting slow songs that gets in your head.
Wild Horses by The Sundays A cover of a Rolling Stones song seems to easy to put on a list. I have heard several excellent covers of this song but this is the one that stays with me every time I hear it.
The World Has Turned and Left Me Here by Weezer I LOVE Weezer and all their songs. This is one of their more serious songs and it is one of the most played on my iTunes. I fell in love with the Blue album in college and it has never been out of my favor. I have actually purchased three copies of the CD since it came it out because the cd was so warn and scratched… now I do not have to worry about it.
I Never Told You by Colbie Caillat Kinda old song and kind of random but it has been frequently played.
Diamonds by Rihanna Great song to workout to… enough said, every girl has at least one of these on her list.
What can say next month it may be a totally different kind of songs… depends on my mood.
